Q: "What the heck
is happening with the gulls on the Niagara River?"
A: Do you all know that the Annual Gull
Migration has begun? This gull and other bird migration is one of the principle
reasons that the Niagara River has been designated as a "Globally Significant
Important Bird Area." Over 19 species of gulls in numbers representing
significant portions of worldwide populations of such gulls as Bonaparte's, Herring, and
Ring-billed can be seen here from mid-November to mid-January.
