Joseph Davis State Park   (Lewiston)   Total acres:  388.304    Underwater:   30.824   This state park has 39.3 acres of deciduous woods, 22 acres of "old field," 11 acres of wetland, and 5 acres of pond water.  The rest is Niagara River frontage west of River Road, including underwater roadways, parking and building areas, and mowed picnic areas.  Joseph Davis State Park supports a variety of habitats, ranging from open fields to mature forests, for plants and animals.  This diversity of habitats and the park's location along the Niagara River make it a good area for viewing both residents and migrant birds.   It also provides access to the lower Niagara River where waterfowl and gulls can be observed.
