National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) is a
nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to creating public/private partnerships to
conserve our Nation's fish, wildlife, and plant resources. NFWF was established by
Congress in 1984, and has since awarded 2,381 grants, equaling more than $287 million for
conservation. NFWF launched Partners in Flight in 1990 to conserve
Neotropical migratory birds and their habitats, and to create a new vision for bird
conservation. NFWF promotes conservation when it should be done--before species
become endangered--by focusing on habitat conservation on both natural and managed lands,
and through groundbreaking partnerships. Since 1990, NFWF has awarded 385 grants for
migratory birds, matching $10.8 million in federal funds with $21.2 million raised by NFWF
and our grantees--over $32 million to conserve birds and their habitats. NFWF
depends on donations to support its programs. To learn more, or to make a
donation, please write to the above address.
