Chief purpose of organization:

bullet

The study of local native plants--and public education about plants and their habitats and how rare plants and important habitats may be endangered.

The Niagara Frontier Botanical Society was founded in 1983 and is an affiliate of the Buffalo Museum of Science.  We publish a bimonthly journal entitled Clintonia, which is devoted to native flora and general botanical topics.   Monthly meetings are held from September through May featuring special speakers, and numerous field trips are taken to local Western New York and Canadian sites.  Our membership includes amateurs as well a professionals in the plant and science field.

We welcome new members.
