The
National Audubon Society of New York State Promotes the protection and proper management
of birds, wildlife, and their habitats through advocacy and education. Through a
statewide council, 33 chapters and a sanctuary system, National Audubon Society of New
York State is providing conservation leadership based on sound science with specific
campaigns on birds, forests, wetlands on local, state, and national levels.
In
the Niagara Region, National Audubon has been a leader in designating the Niagara River
Corridor as a global-level Important Bird Area and initiating the development of a
comprehensive bird conservation plan.
The
National Audubon Society welcomes new members.
