Grasslands

Grasslands (unmowed, especially during the nesting season) are very important to ground-nesting birds, some species of which are declining. While certain grasses are ideal (see Grassland Bird Management), any field or area left unmowed provides nesting opportunities.

These area grasslands provide opportunities for observing birds, wildflowers, butterflies

and other natural features.
