Fox Wood Wildlife Rescue, Inc is a Not for Profit 501 (c)(3) organization
dedicated to the rehabilitation and re-release of new York State wildlife.
We are also an educational center providing valuable information about
wildlife to the community. Fox Wood is also a sanctuary for foxes
that, for a variety of reasons, cannot be returned to the wild. We accept
all species of New York State wildlife but are particularly known for our work
with fox, bats, coyotes and skunks.
History:
Fox Wood is one of only a handful of centers across New York State that is
licensed to accept and rehabilitate RVS (Rabies Vector Species). We were the
first center in this part of new York to receive such certification. We
possess a USDA license for keeping and displaying un-releasable wildlife.
We possess Nuisance Control Permits and our expertise and advice is commonly
sought regarding dealing with wildlife near humans, such situations often
referred as "Nuisance Wildlife Control". We are humane
bat exclusion and conservation consultants. We do numerous programs with the
Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America regarding Environmental Education.
Our small size enhances our flexibility and the high quality of care given to
both our temporary and permanent residents.
The Fox Wood Wildlife Rescue welcomes new members.
